The standard Acura RLX gets its power from a 3.5-liter SOHC i-VTEC 24-valve V6 connected to a 10-speed automatic transmission. It makes 310 horsepower and 272 pound-feet of torque and has fuel economy of 20 mpg city, 29 highway, and 23 mpg combined. The RLX Sport Hybrid features the same engine connected to a 7-speed dual clutch transmission and three electric motors, one on the front axle and two in the rear, one on each wheel. The combined output is 377 horsepower and 341 lb-ft of torque, with fuel economy figures of 28 mpg city, 29 highway, and 28 combined.
